Overcoming the Fear of Not Being Good Enough in Your Career
Grace Sodzi, CEO of PAPER Arts CIC, talks about her experiences of imposter syndrome with you to assure you that you’re not alone. You’ll learn more about imposter syndrome, pick up some tips and have a go at some creative activities you can do to help manage it.
This session is for you if you:
- Often feel like you’re not good enough
- Feel your insecurities hold you back
- Know about imposter syndrome, but you’re not sure how to tackle it
Did you know that around 70% of us struggle with imposter syndrome in our day to day lives – men and women equally? Often we have a sense that we’re not good enough, or we feel that we’re a fraud that will be found out, and we don’t really belong in the role we have. We put our successes down to someone making a mistake, or pure luck rather than feeling we’re deserving of it.
It is all too easy to compare yourself to other people, especially in the world of social media. We can often feel like there are better people than us that should be doing our jobs, when in actual fact they probably feel a little like this too!
A Kind Invitation to Explore
It takes courage to look closely at these feelings of self-doubt. Grace provides a warm, honest space to start reframing those thoughts. Remember, the goal isn’t to eliminate imposter syndrome entirely, but to gently loosen its grip so you can show up more fully.
We invite you to watch this self-study workshop at your own pace. You can also deepen your learning with this imposter syndrome worksheet.
