Celebrations & Gratitude for July

Welcome to the first celebration & gratitude messages from Team Quiet. Every month, our team will be sharing our thank yous and celebrating quieteers in our community. I’m grateful to have received some team contributions for sharing on our first post, and I’m pleased to hear that taking some time to reflect and appreciate was so enjoyable for everyone! So let’s begin with some team gratitude…

Messages of Gratitude

💫  Abbie has been wonderful volunteering at the groups on Thursday, always smiling and has really welcomed new members by asking them questions and starting conversations gently. She’s really grown over the last 6 months (since she starting as a coachee) and it’s wonderful to see someone so willing to see for themselves what more they can do now!

💫  Alistair has been great at starting conversations and contributing whilst holding space for others and inviting participation. His passion and enthusiasm is contagious and interactions feel positively energising!

💫  Emily and Vicky for their commitment to learning and improving their practice by asking questions that may feel vulnerable, which has prompted some very enjoyable explorations and connections 🙏

💫  Hayley for several reasons. Helping me with a fundraising application and listening to my ideas on getting the quiet message out there. But also for giving with a trusting space in which I can openly talk about my experiences.

Quieteer Celebration

Elliot is coming to the end of their coaching sessions, and they’ve been challenging a lot of beliefs and exploring deeply who they are, what their personal message is to share with others and why this is important, and how they can express this in a way that feels right for them. As part of this journey, they not only have started to create art that feels more vulnerable and authentic, they’ve also stretched themselves to start blogging to share more of what’s inside of them. I (Stacie) particularly want to celebrate this wisdom they’ve shared in a blog post.

Hi, I’m Hayley - the original quieteer. I, too, identify as a quiet person. I’m naturally a highly sensitive introvert and I love and appreciate my quiet strengths now, but I spent much of my life not feeling good enough and experiencing social anxiety. I missed so many opportunities because I was afraid of being judged harshly, criticised and rejected – and because I doubted that I had the ‘right’ personality to succeed. Quiet Connections exists in part because I had a fantastic coach who helped me to work through old patterns of keeping myself small and hidden so that I could show up and be seen to play my part in creating the more connected, curious and compassionate world that I dream of. Now, I’m passionate about helping quiet people discover their unique qualities, gifts, passions and experiences and explore how best to use these to express themselves more authentically and contribute to the world in a way that works with their quieter or more sensitive nature. Get to know me here.
