Quieteer Nicola opens ‘Pawsitive Pets’ Pet Food Bank & More in Falmouth

Hi, I’m Nikk. I started with Quiet Connections in 2017 when it was just a little seed. I have seen it grow and have been involved in it as much as I can over this time by attending courses, groups, socials and coaching. Through all my time with Quiet Connections, I have grown myself from the support I received, the friendships I’ve made and the guidance I was given and continue to do so.

I have gone on to develop my own CIC – The Creature Feature Show Community Interest Company which provides Animal Assisted interventions in care homes, community members, schools, hospitals, holiday clubs and much more.

With the increase of the cost of living crisis, I have opened Cornwall’s first 5 day a week pet food bank and warm space specifically to keep much loved pets with their owners.

As a Quieteer, the thought of this was terrifying, meeting people and having to be emotionally able to communicate with people who are struggling with their own emotions. But knowing how much my pets mean to me and that, with many more people struggling, people are giving up their pets, I want to do what I can.

Now we are excited to hold our official launch on 23rd September from 11:00am until 3:00pm at Pawsitive Pets in Falmouth. We have planned a great day and to add to the list, my very own therapy dachshund is becoming an award-winning service dog for his services to the community! When I attended the Falmouth Meet Ups, Chip would always be with me.

So I would love to invite some Quieteers to join me on the day as none of this would have been at all possible without the support I received.

If you would like to join us, we can reimburse travel costs (bus, train or fuel) through the funding we have received to ensure we are accessible to everyone. Please do contact us and let us know so we know for the day.

Join Nicola for the launch of Pawsitive Pets on Saturday 23rd September from 11:00am-3:00pm at Pawsitive Pets, Grenville Road, Falmouth, TR11 2PR.

Hi, I’m Hayley - the original quieteer. I, too, identify as a quiet person. I’m naturally a highly sensitive introvert and I love and appreciate my quiet strengths now, but I spent much of my life not feeling good enough and experiencing social anxiety. I missed so many opportunities because I was afraid of being judged harshly, criticised and rejected – and because I doubted that I had the ‘right’ personality to succeed. Quiet Connections exists in part because I had a fantastic coach who helped me to work through old patterns of keeping myself small and hidden so that I could show up and be seen to play my part in creating the more connected, curious and compassionate world that I dream of. Now, I’m passionate about helping quiet people discover their unique qualities, gifts, passions and experiences and explore how best to use these to express themselves more authentically and contribute to the world in a way that works with their quieter or more sensitive nature. Get to know me here.
