Celebrations & Gratitude for November

Welcome to the November Round Up. Thank you for the outpouring of love and gratitude and shining a light on the positives this month. I really appreciate every one of you. As we go through winter, let’s place our intention on connection, even though we might be busy or reaching out might feel hard. Please take this as an invitation to check-in with each other and reach out when you need to. Let’s be present for one another the best we can be. And with that, let’s dive into our messages of gratitude for each other…

Messages of Gratitude

💫 I was so grateful to meet up with Hayley at the start of the month to enjoy a blustery beach stomp together. It felt like forever since our diaries aligned for a catch up, so it was a real highlight in my week to step away from work, take some deep ocean breaths and talk all things life! Reconnecting with Hayley sparked some thoughts about the importance of investing in positive social connections. Life can get busy, full, overwhelming at times, yet when I make time for these lovely connections with friends, family and nature my spirit is lifted and topped up with gratitude. Thanks Hayley for this lovely little reminder : ) – Elaine

💫 I am grateful to Alistair and Emily for helping me to cover the Quiet Meet Ups while Michele was away this month. – Hayley

💫 I am really grateful and would like to celebrate Hayley and Stacie. I have been really inspired by the Christmas Quiet Get-Together they are planning and the way they are going about it. As a QC team member, I feel very included in the organisation and how I can support on the evening. They have asked for ideas from others, sought out a venue and are putting together an excellent plan. I love how they think through the purpose of each part of the event so the evening can be really meaningful to participants. I also celebrate the other members of the QC team who are contributing to this event, planning things for the evening and making things happen. – Vicky

💫 I’m also feeling grateful for everyone who has been and is getting involved in our Quieteers Christmas Celebration event on the 15th; Michele, Ellie, Emily, Julie, Rose, Vicky, Elaine, Hannah and Chris. I’m really looking forward to this event and seeing how it works bringing together our quieteers on a bigger scale. – Stacey

💫 I am grateful for Jacqui from Helston for always being present and contributing to the group with a positive light. Jacqui helps me feel part of the group each week and she enjoys being part of the quiet community. – Michele

💫 I’d like to thank Hayley and Stacie for checking in on me during the last month which has been exhausting and when I have felt unwell. – Alistair

💫 I’m feeling grateful for Emily who very kindly stepped in last minute to cover the Truro Meet Up early in November when I couldn’t make it due to transport issues! Thank you. – Stacie

💫 I feel grateful for Hayley and the time we spent at the Georgia’s Voice Listening Day earlier this month. We had some quality time for connecting and for exploring ideas which I always enjoy! – Stacey

💫 I am grateful for Stacie, Rose, Phil, Elaine, Daniel and Stacey for sharing moments of connection and kindness with me. For truly seeing me, really. Thank you. – Hayley

💫 A huge thank you Phil who has supported me and Stacie through a very challenging situation this month. I have really felt like Phil had my back and his support gave me a sense of safety and greater courage, despite the situation feeling quite scary for me. – Hayley

💫 I’m very grateful for your understanding Hayley, as I work out my new schedule of ‘work’ and haven’t been able to get to the QCs meet up for ages I’m grateful for your quiet check ins but not nagging for answers. And just generally grateful for all the love you have. – Rose

💫 Thank you to Alistair and Michele for arranging Pop Up Meet Ups in November (Life Drawing and Laughing Yoga) –both were comfort zone stretches for me and it was lovely to try something new with you both, which I probably wouldn’t have done outside of QC. I thoroughly enjoyed myself! – Hayley

Celebrating Quieteers

⭐️ I would love to celebrate Julie. We delivered a workshop for Pluss Somerset earlier this month (one we have done a number of times together now), and I always really appreciate the feedback she has, the exploration to shift things around and have a go at delivering it in a slightly different ways whilst we continuously learn the best approach for it, and how she shows up during the workshops with such vulnerability, insight and warmth. – Stacie

⭐️ Celebrating Ellie and Kat, who are working together on a talk that can be given at schools. With an additional shout out to Ellie for her quiet leadership, offering ideas, feedback and challenging us. – Hayley

⭐️ I’d like to celebrate my Positive People coachees who have wholeheartedly thrown themselves into the coaching process. I really admire their courage, openness and how they have stretched their comfort zones on every call with opening up and trying new exercises. – Vicky

⭐️ I would like to celebrate quieteer Rob, who has travelled in from Wadebridge to attend the Falmouth Meet Up after joining the Blue Health & Writing for Wellbeing Pop Ups – Alistair

⭐️ I would like to celebrate quieteer Sarah from the Truro group. Sarah has stretched her comfort zone and connected with members in the group. We all know how difficult it can be to walk through the doors, and now Sarah has begun bringing her own crafts along to share with us. Well done Sarah. – Michele

⭐️ I would like to celebrate Alistair for several reasons. (a) being really clear about what’s okay and what’s not and taking action to set compassionate boundaries (b) arranging and leading a Pop Up Meet Up, offering reassurance and making it fun (c) for having a reflective, exploratory and collaborative approach and always seeking feedback and ideas (d) undertaking the Rapid Transformational Therapy course and completing his first two Virtual Classrooms, which went well – Hayley

  • Hayley Stanton

Hi, I’m Hayley - the original quieteer. I, too, identify as a quiet person. I’m naturally a highly sensitive introvert and I love and appreciate my quiet strengths now, but I spent much of my life not feeling good enough and experiencing social anxiety. I missed so many opportunities because I was afraid of being judged harshly, criticised and rejected – and because I doubted that I had the ‘right’ personality to succeed. Quiet Connections exists in part because I had a fantastic coach who helped me to work through old patterns of keeping myself small and hidden so that I could show up and be seen to play my part in creating the more connected, curious and compassionate world that I dream of. Now, I’m passionate about helping quiet people discover their unique qualities, gifts, passions and experiences and explore how best to use these to express themselves more authentically and contribute to the world in a way that works with their quieter or more sensitive nature. Get to know me here.
