Break the Stress Cycle with Breath, Movement & Mindset
When stress hits, do you know how your body, breath, and mindset respond? You might notice repeated patterns – maybe your shoulders tense up, your breath gets shallow, or your thoughts start racing. It can often feel like you’re stuck in a loop, wondering where all this stress is residing within you.
Join Elaine Macey, Co-Founder of 4Motion CIC, for this relaxed and practical self-study workshop. Elaine has a deep passion for movement and understands what it feels like to struggle, using these very practices in her own life.
She invites you to tune into the rhythm of your breath, the power of your mind, and the natural flow of your movements. Through gentle playfulness and curiosity, we’ll explore how you can find positive, kind, and effective ways to interrupt the stress cycle.
Finding Flow and Freedom
This session is about giving yourself permission to move, breathe, and think in a way that creates ease, not tension. Elaine will guide you to discover and embrace your own unique breath, movement, and mindset, reminding you there is no right or wrong way to explore these tools.
In this supportive workshop, we will explore:
- How to tune into the power of your breath to invite movement in your body and flow to your thoughts.
- Guided breathwork exercises to calm your nervous system and release tension.
- Informal movement explorations to shift anxious feelings from your body.
- How to use journal prompts and mindset reflections to find kinder solutions to your stress patterns.
- Practical, effective ways to interrupt those repeated cycles of stress in your daily life.
Please note: this workshop involves physical movement. Please be aware of your body and use good judgement on what you can or cannot do. Sit out any practical exercises if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing, have a drink at hand, and bring along a notepad and pen for some journal prompts.
