Celebrations & Gratitude for September
You’ll find a whole lot of gratitude and celebrating our quieteers here… enjoy these messages from Team Quiet.
Messages of Gratitude
💫 I am feeling very grateful for the attendees of our workshop on the beach last Saturday and their willingness to share and reflect together. Also to the core QC team for their encouragement and support in delivering the session. – Emily
💫 I am grateful for Michele for her continued support in doing the radio interviews. She is a nice calming presence to have before and during the interviews. And also at the Falmouth Weekly Meet Up. – Alistair
💫 I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at St Austell, Stacie, Abbie and everyone else, including Bella the pup! For making me feel so welcome and accepted and for putting up with me encouraging everyone to make stuff! – Sarah
💫 I’ve had a wonderful journey with lots of gentle connections within Quiet Connections along with insightful Marketing experience shared by our lovely Directors, Hayley and Stacie, whom I have to give a huge thank you for all of your support throughout my internship. – Alice
💫 I would like to thank Phil for attending the Blue Health event at short notice last Saturday to support Emily in connecting with a journalist who requested to attend and interview us, and I would also like to thank Emily for your willingness to welcome a journalist to your event. I am deeply appreciating team members stepping into the role of representing QC in the media –it’s so lovely to hear your voices associated with all we’re doing here. – Hayley
Quieteer Celebrations
Celebrating Emily
Emily has been stretching her comfort zone by engaging in coaching practice sessions and showing willingness to speak with a journalist. Emily also held a Blue Health & Writing for Wellbeing Pop Up Meet Up for our Quieteers and received so much positive feedback. It was a wonderful wellbeing boost and everyone took a lot from the session held on Gylly Beach. Emily also did a lovely job taking over the QC Facebook and Instagram accounts for a week in September, showing what’s happening behind-the-scenes.
Thank you, Alice
Alice joined us throughout September as our Storytelling Intern and now moves into a volunteer role with us. Alice carefully considered the best ways to reach Quieteers attending weekly MeetUps, drawing our their experiences, and turning those conversations into beautiful visual stories, which we will continue to share on Facebook and Instagram over the coming week (please like and share!). And Alice did this, for the most part, from her home in Vietnam, six hours ahead of us here in the UK, before returning to Exeter Uni.
Alistair says “Alice had a lovely presence when asking me about my own personal story and made me feel at ease. Sharing the stories of Quieteers is a great way of spreading the work that Quiet Connections does”. This is a big THANK YOU, Alice, for bringing all your kindness, creativity, enthusiasm and your have-a-go attitude to Quiet Connections! Wishing you all the best for the future.
Well done, Ellie
Congratulations to Ellie Zalick for hosting the first Liskeard Meet Up! And a big thank you for doing a fantastic job of organising the venue and getting all the information a Quieteer could need together for the website. The first session welcomed a group of five plus Ellie, and she has chosen to follow up with a message to each attendee. Ellie is excited about the next one and we are looking forward to seeing this group flourish.
