Join our Beach Clean Meet Up in Perranporth
Connect with likeminded quieteers as we join in with the SAS Million Mile Beach Clean at Perranporth Beach on Saturday 22nd March from 3:30pm.
This Meet Up is designed to help you enjoy something you might not normally do with likeminded people in a calm and gentle way that feels authentic to your true quiet self. It’s a safe space for you to gently stretch your comfort zone as part of a community of quieteers who truly get you.
We can’t wait to welcome you.
Your Meet Up Leader
Hi I'm Hayley (and this is my dog, Robin)
We're joining part of a larger organised SAS Million Mile Beach Clean, but I'll be bringing us quieteers together so we can join in as a group. I'll be here to greet you and guide you through the event, as well as answer any questions or concerns that you might have. I, too, am a quieter person. As a highly sensitive introvert, I love and appreciate my quiet strengths now, but I spent much of my life not feeling good enough and experiencing social anxiety. I missed so many opportunities and connections because I was afraid of being judged harshly, criticised and rejected –and because I doubted that I had the ‘right’ personality to succeed. Now, I’m passionate about helping quiet people discover their unique qualities, gifts, passions and experiences and explore how best to use these to express themselves more authentically, connect more meaningfully and contribute to their world in a way that works with their quieter or more sensitive nature – and I’d love to connect with you at one of our Meet Ups.
What to Expect
-
It’s okay to talk and it’s okay to be quiet too
You're amongst quieteers here. Sharing is a really special part of connecting as a group together; we invite you to look out for each other, ask each other questions, and take in what the other is saying. But, we also understand that some days you might like to join in quietly, too, perhaps listen more than speak or beach clean more independently of the group. You're welcome to connect in a way that feels good for you.
-
You can go at your own pace
Whilst there may be many people participating in the beach clean, Perranporth and Penhale Beach stretches out for three miles so there is plenty of space for you to spread out and connect as you feel inspired to. Our intention is to help you connect with one another so that you can nurture your sense of belonging within our community, but there’s absolutely no pressure to participate or set any big goals. You’re invited to do what feels right for you.
-
A relaxed, calming environment
We love the space that Perranporth beach offers and being by the sea has many benefits for our wellbeing, so this is the perfect opportunity to get in a little Blue Health and connect with nature to give your wellbeing a boost.
-
Tea Breaks
Coastal Roots will be kindly bringing refreshments… and they will be organising a creative beach art activity.
-
A community of understanding
Our gentle-natured team and your fellow quieteers attending are likely to share similar feelings and experiences with you. So here you can connect with people who truly get you - and feel part of a supportive, welcoming community together.
