Join our Charlestown to Duporth Coastal Walk Meet Up

Connect with your likeminded quieteers and enjoy a refreshing walk along the new coastal path between Charlestown and Duporth Beach (and back) on Friday 21st April from 14:00pm.

This Meet Up is designed to help you enjoy something you might not normally do with likeminded people in a calm and gentle way that feels authentic to your true quiet self. It’s a safe space for you to gently stretch your comfort zone as part of a community of quieteers who truly get you.

We can’t wait to welcome you.

Your Meet Up Leader

Stacie Clark

Hi I'm Stacie.

After years of being told I was "too sensitive" and feeling ashamed of my quieter nature, I have learned to love and embrace this part of who I am. Social settings and connecting with others hasn't always felt easy for me (and sometimes it stills feel a challenge!), and after a lot of self-exploration to help ease those doubts and anxieties, I now know that connecting with the right people, such as yourself, is an uplifting, energising and comforting experience. I hope you'll experience this too and I look forward to welcoming you at this meet up.

What to Expect

  • It’s okay to talk and it’s okay to be quiet too

We understand that you may prefer to ease into conversation gradually, or that some days you might like to walk quietly and take in the views whilst simply being in the company of others. We welcome both quietude and chatter.

  • You can go at your own pace

We'll be walking at a leisurely pace with plenty of rest stops along the way to soak in the view and enjoy some mindful nature photography if wanted. You're invited to walk and join in conversation at a pace that feels good for you.

  • A relaxed, calming environment

The Charlestown to Duporth Coastal path enjoys calming views of the sea, wooded areas, and an incredible birds-eye view overlooking the harbour. Duporth Beach is beautiful and normally very quiet. The majority of the new path is now gravelled; the start and end is not gravelled though, so please wear appropriate and comfortable footwear. Please note there is a hill at the start of the path from Charlestown.

  • Dogs Welcome

You're more than welcome to bring along your calm & friendly four-legged friend. Dogs are welcome along the costal path and on Duporth Beach (please ensure you pick up any dog mess).

  • A community of understanding

Our gentle-natured team and your fellow Quiet Connectors attending are likely to share similar feelings and experiences with you. So here you can connect with people who truly get you - and feel part of a supportive, welcoming community together.
