Welcome, Quiet Explorer

We’re so pleased that you’re here.

We love connecting with likeminded people who feel passionate about wellbeing, inclusion and belonging for people who may be seen as ‘quiet’ and who perhaps consider themselves to be introverted, highly sensitive, shy or experiencing social anxiety.

We know that, as a quieter person, it can feel like we’re expected to raise our voices to match the louder, chattier people in the room to be able to form connections and let our voices be heard.

All too often, perceptions of quiet seem to be equated with needing to build confidence and speak up to fit in. No wonder we sometimes doubt that we have what it takes to make the contribution we want to in the world. But it shouldn’t have to be this way.

Yes, we wholeheartedly champion personal growth and strengthening our confidence, wellbeing and authenticity. But, we also believe that there should be more inclusion, fairness and equal opportunities in society for quiet people.

We invite you to join us in exploring what is and what could be:

  • Understanding what supports individual wellbeing for quiet people.
  • Uncovering the dominant narratives surrounding quiet right now.
  • Positively reframing quiet so that it’s not only accepted but celebrated, just as more extraverted qualities.
  • Starting conversations around quietness, bringing attention to the challenges that quiet people may experience, and increasing curiosity and compassion.
  • Promoting space and equal opportunities for quiet people to contribute in their own way.
  • Advocating for change at a cultural and societal level to create greater inclusivity, cues of belonging and environments where quiet people can flourish.
  • …and, of course, undiscovered questions that might bubble up in our explorations.

By joining us, you’re an important part of this - so thank you.

Improving individual and collective wellbeing with and for quiet people appears to be largely uncharted waters, and we know it will rely on us Quiet Explorers coming together to get curious, share questions and insights, and support and challenge each other.

We hope that you’re looking forward to getting started, and if there’s anything at all that you want to ask please reach out using the contact details below.

However you decide to get involved with Quiet Connections, today marks the start of your new journey to creating wider ripple effects of curiosity, compassion and connection than we ever could separately. And we’re with you all the way.

Hayley & Stacie
