A Quiet Celebration: Co-Designing Our Community Art Exhibition

You’re warmly invited to help co-create our next art exhibition: A community-led exhibition that honours quiet voices and celebrates the power of quiet.

We’re creating something special together; an art exhibition led by our Quiet Connections community. Whether you see yourself as 'creative' or not, your voice and presence are welcome in shaping what this becomes.

This exhibition will be a gentle, uplifting celebration of quietness and gentle qualities. It will be co-designed and created with people like you - quieteers, artists, thinkers, feelers, and those who simply know the power of a pause. Whether you’d like to contribute ideas, create something, help behind the scenes with fundraising and organising, or just stay in the loop, this space is for you.

A glimpse of what's possible...

"I was, I am, I will be" Exhibition

Previously, our community came together for a beautiful, heartwarming exhibition at Helston's Museum of Cornish Life telling quieteers stories. Watch the short video below to get a sense of the atmosphere we created together, and read the blog post for more information about the exhibition. We hope seeing what quieteers have achieved before now, inspires you to get involved.

What’s happening now?

We’re in the early stages of shaping the next exhibition -and we’d love your input right from the start.

What we know for sure, is that this is a celebratory exhibition, honouring our gentle temperaments and shining a light on the power of quiet. It's part of our wider mission to positively shift the story to help create a world where quietness is not only understood, but valued and celebrated.

We’re listening carefully, inviting ideas, and gently shaping this exhibition with those who join us. We’re learning as we go -and there’s space for you to shape what this becomes. You can be involved as much or as little as feels right for you. Every contribution, quiet or bold, matters.

“When we create together, we all belong a little more.”

Here’s what we’re exploring so far:

  • Venue? Not yet! We’re currently exploring spaces in central Cornwall -and even dreaming about the possibility of a roving exhibition.Got a place in mind? We’d love to hear from you.

  • When? We’re looking at community involvement throughout 2025, with the exhibition itself likely to open in 2026. There’s plenty of time to gently shape something meaningful together.

  • Who’s leading? The project is being lovingly led by our Penzance Connector and artist, Michael Mules (pictured above with Hayley at his recent exhibition). Quieteers and team members are already stepping in to co-create what comes next.

  • What kind of involvement? Right now, we’re simply inviting you to express an interest using this form. You might want to join a creative call, help shape the vision, offer a skill, share an idea, support the planning, help with fundraising, or gently create something of your own. You don’t need experience -just curiosity, care, or a quiet pull to be part of this.

There’s no one right way to get involved. You can be as hands-on or as softly-present as feels right for you. Once you complete the expression of interest form, you'll get all the project updates and invitations, so you can get involved at any time.
