HushFest 2026 · Free Pop Up Event
Magic is Made in the Quiet Spaces | Hayle
A free HushFest Pop Up with the Community Harmony Scarf
Friday 10 April, 11:00am - 12:00pm, Be Kind The Vegan Coffee Caravan, Hayle
A quieter space to spend some time together. You might arrive, have a look around, pick something up to make or write, or sit with a drink for a while.
On Friday 10th April, Quieteer Clare is bringing one of HushFest’s free Pop Up gatherings to Betty the Caravan at Be Kind in Hayle. It is a relaxed, drop-in hour. You’re welcome to come and go, take part in something, or simply be alongside others for a while.
The theme is Quiet in Nature. A gentle thread running through the space, for anyone who wants to explore it in their own way.
What to expect
Drop in at any point during the hour and stay for as long as feels right for you.
You’re welcome to add something to the Reframing Quiet section of the scarf, which will become part of the Quiet Hearts exhibition later in the year.
Ribbons, paper and pens will be there if you want them. You can also bring something of your own to work on.
Some people might chat. Others may sit quietly. There’s no right way to take part.
If the weather is kind we will be outside on South Quay. Otherwise, the caravan is there as a sheltered space.
No booking needed. You’re welcome to arrive when it suits you.
What people have shared about Quiet Connections
I am grateful for Quiet Connections because they give me a chance to be me, without judgement or criticism. I am able to be part of a group socially, in comfort and feeling safe, for the first time in a long time. I have a sense of belonging and being cared about. It's just lovely.Rose, Camborne
Thank you for today. It was an incredibly validating experience, having some company without any pressure to talk or be a certain way. I was surprised how comfortable I felt so quickly.Quieteer
Cornwall’s Festival of Quietness
HushFest brings together quieter, more reflective ways of being through a series of gatherings, exhibitions and shared creative spaces across Cornwall.
This Pop Up is one of several taking place this year. The Quiet Hearts textile exhibition, which the Community Harmony Scarf will contribute to, will be held in Camborne later on.
