Creative Workshops for Young People in Cornwall
Our creative sessions across Cornwall gently connect quiet children (aged 8-12) in a kind, relaxing space where it's okay to talk and it's okay to be quiet too.
We can't wait to welcome you.

“A great way to offer my child a different experience”
“It was a lovely relaxing couple of hours, and a great way to offer my child a different experience at a lovely setting, to connect and to stretch comfort zones without feeling pressure to 'force' my daughter to participate in everything, and she enjoyed the activities at her own pace.”
- Claire
“It was nice to see my child stretching their comfort zone”
"It was lovely. The facilitator was very warm, welcoming and approachable. Her engagement with the children was great and I think everyone felt safe and validated. The other participants were also friendly. It was nice to see my youngest child stretching their comfort zone in a safe space with people that understand!"

Why we're (quietly) meeting up
Some children are just naturally quieter. They like to take their time, feel things deeply, or hang back and watch before they join in. They might not be the first to speak, and big, busy groups can feel like too much.
Often, these gentle children get overlooked. Or they feel like they have to try and be louder, chattier, more outgoing - just to fit in. But we don’t believe they need to change who they are to feel like they belong.
That’s why we’ve created these workshops. Calm, welcoming spaces where quieter children can feel at ease, connect in their own way, and be accepted just as they are.
There’s no pressure here. Your child might want to join in straight away, or they might prefer to watch for a while. Either way is okay. We’ve found that, given the space, quieter children often open up in their own time - especially when they’re with others who understand what that feels like too.
This is a place where quietness is appreciated. Where gentle natures are noticed. And where your child can feel part of something, simply by being themselves.

“My son absolutely loved it there!”
"The activity was ideal for my son, everyone got on and he absolutely loved it there! Would definitely love to go again!"

“It went beyond my expectations!”
"The facilitators really made us both feel at ease. Being able to choose activities as a small group, stretch our comfort zones, meet others and enjoy the space - it went beyond my expectations! It was lovely to be able to be hands on, especially for my daughter-she loved it! Such a wonderful space and activities"

What to expect from the workshops
-
It’s okay to join in quietly or take your time
Some children like to get stuck in straight away. Others prefer to watch for a while or ease in slowly. However your child wants to take part is completely okay. They might stay close to a grown-up at first, or quietly join a table when they’re ready. There’s no pressure to talk or do things a certain way.
-
Gentle support and freedom to explore
Your child will be invited to follow their own ideas and do things in their own way. They might get creative with clay, or simply enjoy being around others. They could try something new or just take it all in. However they choose to take part, we’ll support them with kindness, not instructions.
-
A space chosen with care
We’ve chosen spaces that feel accessible, safe and easy to be in. They might not be fancy or perfect - but they’ve been picked with quieter children in mind. We keep group sizes small and do our best to make things feel welcoming and familiar. There’s space to settle in slowly and find what feels comfortable.

A place where quietness is appreciated
These sessions are made for the quieter ones. The gentle, thoughtful, creative children who are so often overlooked. Here, they can be themselves and feel part of something - without having to be loud to belong. Their quiet nature is noticed, valued, and gently celebrated.
-
Kind people who understand quiet children
The adults leading the session are calm, patient and gentle. They know what it’s like to be a quiet child and they’ll meet your child exactly where they’re at - with warmth and respect. There’s no pressure to be different or do things quickly. Just steady encouragement and space to be themselves.
Are you a quieter person too?
If you’re someone who values calm, gentle spaces - and you know what it’s like to feel overlooked or out of place - you’re warmly invited to join the Quieteers Club. You’ll receive quiet reflections, Meet Up updates, and stories from our community. It’s a gentle way to stay in touch, and feel part of something with others who get it.
