Join our walking meet up to discover St Michael's Mount

Connect with likeminded quieteers for an autumn walk to St Michael’s Mount on Sunday 17th November.

Join us at Long Rock Car Park at 9:00am to take a gentle stroll to the Mount or, if you prefer, further along the route at 9:45am by the bottom of the steps at Godolphin Arms in Marazion.

This Pop Up Meet Up is designed to help you enjoy something you might not normally do with likeminded people, in a calm and gentle way that feels authentic to your true quiet self. It’s a safe space for you to gently stretch your comfort zone as part of a community of quieteers who truly get you.

What to Expect

  • It’s okay to talk and it’s okay to be quiet too

    We understand that you may prefer to ease into conversation gradually, or that some days you might like to walk quietly and take in the sights and sounds whilst simply being in the company of others. We welcome both quietude and chatter.

  • You can go at your own pace

    We'll be walking at a leisurely pace with opportunity to pause along the way, watch the waves, or enjoy some mindful photography. You're invited to walk and join in conversation at a pace that feels good for you.

  • Dogs are welcome

    You are welcome to bring your four legged friends to enjoy a stroll. The only places where dogs are not allowed are the Steward's House Art Gallery and Harbour Loft Restaurant.

  • A stunning, refreshing environment

    Visiting the Mount this time of the year is a world apart from the buzz of summer days here, and will enable us to enjoy the visit in a somewhat more peaceful way. On the day, the Causeway will be revealed - so we will be able to walk there and back, following in our ancestors’ footsteps.

  • A cheap day out!

    The access to the village and harbour, Steward's House Art Gallery, Island Café, Harbour Loft, and Island and Mount Shop is free - so no need to buy a ticket to visit, we can simply turn up and explore at our own pace.

Getting here

  • By car: The Google Maps and What3Words links, above, will direct you to Long Rock Car Park for the start of the walk. If you are meeting us at the bottom of the steps at Godolphin Arms in Marazion, at 9:45am, the What3Words location will be (perch.conquests.lucky).
  • By bus: There are regular buses directly to the bus station, in Penzance. From there, you can walk directly from the station, along the SW Coastal Path, to reach Long Rock Car Park - or take one of the several buses that pass through Long Rock.
  • By train: Penzance Train Station sits at the end of the main train line in Cornwall. From there, you can walk directly from the station, along the SW Coastal Path, to reach Long Rock Car Park - or take one of the several buses that pass through Long Rock.
