The people we support are frequently not in education or employment, and can only access this support that's so important to them because of your generous donations. Your donation might help someone to go into town or order a drink for the first time ever. You might help a person to return to education or develop positive strategies to stay calm in a job interview. Or you might provide a suicide intervention session for someone in great need. Whatever you give, it's going to be appreciated.
All of our volunteers play a valuable role in ensuring everyone involved with Quiet Connections feels understood, supported and develops a sense of belonging with us. You may be reassuring others that they're not alone in how they're feeling. Or you may be helping to raise awareness of what it's like to live feeling socially anxious and not good enough and the challenges we face, improving understanding to enable family, friends and organisations to better support those of us feeling socially anxious. If you have felt this way yourself, we have a volunteer opportunity to suit you.
Write for us
We love hearing from people with lived experience of feeling socially anxious, shy and not good enough who can write articles for sharing on our blog that will reassure others they're not alone and support them in managing their emotions and growing confidence. Your contributions also help us to raise awareness of what it's like to live feeling this way and the challenges we face, improving understanding and promoting change to enable family, friends and organisations to better support those of us feeling socially anxious.
If you have an idea about how we can collaborate with you, or support you in your own mission in some way, please feel free to drop us an email so we can discuss this. We can also come to you to offer training or speak at your event.
